Classes on Greater Living
Rev. John leads classes as group investigations. Full of engaging exercises and discussion these groups they are tailored for adult learners and teens interested in understanding and applying Spiritual Principles to all aspects of living. Contact John for the Spring/Summer 2011 schedule and locations. Most classes are held at Center for Spiritual Living in Morristown and in suburban New York Counties of Bergen and Westchester. Classes are certificated by Centers for Spiritual Living.

Foundations of Science of Mind
This is the entry-level class in the study of the Science of Mind. You will be introduced to the Core Concepts of this philosophy, Meditation, Spiritual Mind Treatment and other Universal Spiritual Principles. The class is experiential, with many guided meditations and exercises to assist you in applying, embracing and incorporating Science of Mind Principles in your own life.

Each week we explore a new spiritual principle and a spiritual practice that supports that principle. You will learn to use the creative process as well as powerful and practical tools to "change your thinking, change your life"

Myth & Spirit- A Study of Joseph Campbell
Campbell described the common elements of religion and spiritual thought that goes across societies and dogma. In this class we examine Campbell's writings explore insights about western society. The class examines the monomyth- the Hero's Journey of transformation that Campbell described. Through personal reflection and discussion students interpret their own Hero's Journey. SOM 212

A Study of the Science of Mind
Learn the fundamentals of right thinking and right living in these classes. Groups of like minded students meet for 8 week sessions and study aspects of the philosophy written down by Ernest Holmes. SOM 100, 101, 102, 104 cover the book "The Science of Mind"

Troward and Emerson- Great Influences in New Thought thinking
Thomas Troward and Ralph Waldo Emerson were great influences on Ernest Holmes as he wrote 'The Science of Mind' book. Troward's Edinburgh Lectures described the process of how things move from thought to physical form. We study Troward's lectures and his description of the manifestation process. Emerson was America's first acknowledged intellectual philosopher. He was a founder of the Transcendentalist group of thinkers. We study the transcendentalists and seven of Emerson's essays to link the principles of the Infinite, Unity, Law of Attraction, Personal Genius and Law of Compensation and how they influenced the Ernest Holmes as he wrote the Science of Mind philosophy. Metaphorical Interpretation of the Bible
Gain a greater appreciation of Old and New Testament Bible lessons as we investigate and interpret them to better understand our Christian heritage and the Universal principles described in New Thought teachings. Course SOM 210
